“Alliance of Korean and Western Dance”
한미무용연합회 사명 mission
한미무용연합회(KOA Dance Federation)는 2002년 5월에 정부에 공식 등록된 비영리 무용 예술 봉사단체로서 무용의 보급과 대중화를 위해 아동을 위한 댄스 프로그램, 청소년 선도 댄스 프로그램, 건강 가족 댄스프로그램 등 대중 무용 보급을 위해 다양한 프로그램을 운영하고 있습니다.
특히“꿈나무 발레리나 인재양성 다 인종 커뮤니티 댄스프로그램”은 타 인종 모두에게 오픈되어 있으며, “Alliance of Korean and Western Dance” 무용에 소질이 있으나 높은 레슨 비용으로 배우지 못하는 저소득층 가정에 아동들에게 무료 또는 저렴한 가격으로 무용을 배울 수 있는 기회를 주어 우리 2세들에게 긍지를 심고자 하는 취지에서 시작 되었습니다.
그동안 본 단체는 모두 45차례의 정기 워크숍을 진행하였고 274여 회의 크고 작은 지역사회의 행사에서 무료 공연을 했으며 한인 커뮤니티를 위해 다양한 봉사를 함께 하였습니다.
양로병원을 방문하여 할머니 할아버지에게 춤으로 위문공연을 하였으며, 삼일절, 광복절 행사, 장애인을 위한 위문공연, 한국의 날 축제, 아리랑 축제, 월드컵행사에 무용공연을 통해 우리 2세들에게 우리 민족의 우수성과 정체성, 뿌리 교육에 앞장섰으며, 긍정적인 자아상을 확립하였습니다.
아동들에게 무용을 통하여 미래의 인제를 양성하고, 발레리나의 꿈을 실현 할 수 있도록 귀사의 후원을 통해 사랑이 전달되기를 희망합니다.
참석하시어 함께 저희들의 자리를 빛내 주시고 앞으로도 무용교육 프로그램에 많은 관심과 함께 아낌없는 격려를 부탁 드립니다.

KOA Dance Federation is a non-profit performing arts center that serves the Korean-American community by spreading dance and service.
Having been 14 years since our opening, KOA will host our 9th Annual dance performance on September 30, 2018 (Sun) 5:00 PM
KOA Dance Federation has performed at over 290 at community events, while focusing on working and enriching the lives of senior citizens in convalescent homes and hosting dance workshops for the community. Furthermore, KOA offers free dance classes for children and adolescents who come from low-income families.
Through these programs, students will develop an appreciation for service in their community. I request for you to sponsor the 9th Annual KOA Dance Federation Dance Performance.
